Autumn Family Shoot.
Eeeeek! Our first ever blog about a photo shoot, very new to blogging just learning the ropes so be nice!
This bonfire weekend we met up with The Finch Family for our annual Autumn outdoor photoshoots, we met in our local park - Howard Park. It is really beautiful up there this time of year. Specially with the sun shining down on us.
The Finches have been regular clients of ours with their little boy Phoenix having his first Christmas photo's taken with us and also for his first birthday we did one of Smash and Splash photo shoots. We have also photographed their cat Candy.
So Saturday was due to be dark, cold and wet, but as we arrived at the park the sunshine decided to join us, which was a huge bonus. We had a walk around the park and found a great spot under a tree with the sun just behind us. I like to get natural, loving images. So I put the 3 of them together and said just be yourselves, enjoy each other and smile. Below is a shot we got of Mummy, Daddy and Phoenix. Although Phoenix was more interested in his leaf that he foraged, I still feel its a lovely family image.
We shot into the sun to create the flair/highlight and had a white reflector to help make them standout. The image was shot at f/2.2 to create a nice depth of field. We then edited in photoshop. Click on the image to take you to our Family Portrait section. Check me out!
Phoenix also brought his Aunty to join in the shoot and he had a great time posing/laughing with her. Under the same tree and technique we captured this adorable shot.
With it being Autumn we had to use the leaves we had all around us. I really like the shot below of all of them smiling and laughing. Even though, to get this shot they chucked handfuls of leaves at me! Only my mate Phoenix didn't. Cheers guys!
I put this image in black and white as I am a huge fan of B+W and it really gives the image a really nice feel to it.
As with all our clients The Finch Family will receive a disc of ALL the best images, edited with 3 edits of each image - original, vintage and b+w. I am very proud of our work and don't feel holding back images is necessary. We want you to enjoy our work and get as many images as possible. Now we have a webpage we will also put a selection of our favourite images into a private album in our clients area which will be password protected. (Very technical!)
Well thats it nearly at the end of our first ever blog about one of our photo shoots. I really hope you enjoyed getting a quick insight into one of our shoots, we still have time for more outdoor Family Portraits, so get in touch if you want one of you and your family. Also keep an eye out for our future blogs.
Thanks
Ben
